This expertly-crafted whisky was introduced in 1993 by our esteemed Malt Master, David Stewart, who created the process of 'wood finishing' in 1982. Using a unique combination of traditional whisky casks and Spanish oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks, this DoubleWood 12 has matured for 12 years before being finished for an additional nine months. On the nose, you'll experience sweet fruit, Oloroso sherry, and hints of honey and vanilla. The taste is smooth and mellow, with a beautiful blend of nutty sweetness, cinnamon spice, and sherry. The finish is long and warm.
