REVIEW
Zenko Primitivo di Manduria DOC (Italy)
- Size: 750ML
- ABV: 15%
VINIFICATION
De-stemming and crushing of the grapes, maceration at a controlled temperature for 8–10 days with regular pumping overs. The wine is then transferred to concrete tanks, where a second fermentation takes place, enhancing its structure and balance. A brief maturation in barriques completes the process, adding pleasant complexity and delicate spicy notes.
SENSORY FEATURES
Deep ruby red with garnet reflections. A broad and enveloping bouquet with hints of ripe plum, black cherry, and delicate notes of sweet spices and cocoa. Full-bodied and velvety, with soft tannins and a perfect balance of freshness and warmth. The finish is long, with nuances of dried fruit and vanilla.
BEST SERVED WITH
Perfect with red meat dishes, braised meats, game, and aged cheeses. Also ideal for enjoying on its own to fully appreciate its aromatic richness.
