The 4 Stage Maturation Process

In 2019, Stephanie Macleod (Master Blender) released a new range of Dewar's Scottish whiskies that are matured through 4 stages for ultimate smoothness. The maturation process sounds appealing, and does it really produce a compelling whisky? The answer is the awards and gold medals it has received around the world.

"We believe that to do it right and to get the best results you have to put in twice the effort. So we asked ourselves how we could double the effort to our range, which is already double matured for extra smoothness… and it turned out to be.. double matured!"

The Double Double is then distilled, aged, blended, aged again, and finally finished in sherry casks for ultimate smoothness.
